For the first time, chef José Avillez participated in a 4 hands dinner with chef Henrique Sá Pessoa for Ritz’ Secret Room, an initiative by Blood’n’Guts and Ritz Four Seasons Hotel Lisbon. The event also involved Daddy G. from Massive Attack, who turned up the music late that night at Casa dos Prazeres, the Asian restaurant in Chiado that began with the partnership between chef José Avillez and chef Estanislao Carenzo. A memorable night.
We went to Congresso dos Cozinheiros and talked with Paulo Amado, the event’s founder, with chefs Ivan and Sergey Berezutskiy from Twins Garden, in Russia, and with Brazilian historian João Grinspum Ferraz about the current challenges for gastronomy.
